Vermont Community Foundation names new board chair
The Vermont Community Foundation has named James “Jake” G Wheeler, Jr chair of its board of directors. Wheeler was elected to the board in 2009 and has served as vice chair for the last two years. The Vermont Community Foundation Board of Directors is elected by the Foundation’s 150 members. “We’re thrilled to have Jake serve as board chair,” says Community Foundation President & CEO Dan Smith. “Throughout his years of service on the Foundation’s board, his insight and passion for Vermont have been deeply valuable.
Barbara Donnelly of Winooski Insurance earns Safeco Insurance Award of Excellence

Kids RehabGYM faces & places
Michael Frisbie joined the Kids' RehabGYM as Executive Director. He worked in the Vermont ski industry for 25+ managing Ski/Ride Schools. 7-years at the RehabGYM followed by brief stints with Special Olympics Vermont as Director of Programs and Champlain Community Services as Service Coordinator. Also joining the Kids' RehabGYM as clinicians within the last year and a half are Leah Murdock, Doctorate of Physical Therapy, a UVM Graduate. Andrea Buteau, Doctorate of Physical Therapy also a UVM grad.
