Champlain College appoints Special Adviser to the President for Diversity and Inclusion

Champlain College today announced that Dr Angela E Batista will be the Special Adviser to the President for Diversity and Inclusion beginning in June. As Special Adviser, she will work with President Donald J Laackman and other stakeholders at the College to more fully realize the diversity and inclusion goals and aspirations outlined in the College's 2020 Strategic Plan and beyond.

KidSafe Collaborative announces staff changes

The KidSafe Collaborative, which works to improve our community’s response to child abuse and neglect, is pleased to announce that Tina Brimo, MA, joined KidSafe as Administrative & Events Coordinator. She brings a wealth of experience in early childhood education, tremendous organizational skills, and a strong commitment to KidSafe’s mission. Lisa Simon has transitioned to a new position as Development and Program Coordinator.

Jon Meacham to give Middlebury College commencement address

Jon Meacham, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, political commentator, and former editor-in-chief of Newsweek, will deliver the 2017 Middlebury College commencement address on Sunday, May 28. A presidential historian, Meacham is the author of a number of books, including Destiny and Power: The American Odyssey of George Herbert Walker Bush, which was named one of the 10 best books of 2015 by the Washington Post and one of the best books of the year by the New York Times Book Review, Time magazine, and National Public Radio.

Dakota began working at Bread Loaf Corporation as a Project Engineer in May of 2015. Dakota has worked on a variety of completed projects, most recently at the Newberry Market at Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, University of Vermont Alumni House Restoration & New Pavilion, and Preston’s Bar & Restaurant at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel.
