Porter named new Director of Tennis at the Woodstock Inn & Resort
Gary S Thulander, president and general manager of the Woodstock Inn & Resort, announced the appointment of Andrew Porter as director of tennis at the Woodstock Athletic Club. As Director of Tennis, Porter will cultivate the tennis programming at the Woodstock Inn & Resort by further developing instruction, clinics, tournaments, social programs, and ushering in a new era of tennis excellence. “Andrew brings an array of coaching experience to the Woodstock Inn & Resort,” said Thulander.
Rice announces 2017-18 Interim Principal
Most Rev Christopher J Coyne announced that Lisa Lorenz, the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, will be the Interim Principal for Rice Memorial High School for the Academic Year of 2017-2018 as the national search for principal of Rice continues this coming year. Lisa will begin this interim role August 1st and I know the Rice community will welcome and support her.
Mittelman appointed Vermont Arts Council Executive Director
The Vermont Arts Council today announced that Karen S Mittelman, PhD, has accepted the position of executive director for the state arts agency. Mittelman is currently director of the Division of Public Programs at the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) in Washington, DC. She brings to the Arts Council more than thirty years of experience in the public sector and the federal cultural arena. In addition to the NEH, Mittelman held a senior position at the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia and served as curator at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington.
