NVU-Johnson enrollment head receives equal opportunity award

Northern Vermont University-Johnson Associate Dean of Enrollment Penny Howrigan has received the Carolyn Donahue Friend of Equal Opportunity Education Award, given by the Vermont Educational Opportunity Programs (VEOP) organization. Howrigan received the award, named for an admissions representative at the University of Vermont, at VEOP’s annual conference this month at Vermont Technical College in Randolph.

Snow awarded a Ben & Jerry’s Local Hero award

Ben and Jerry’s staff choose and present Local Hero awards to individuals in their home communities who, through a one time or long term act, embodies the core principles of Vermont Manufacturing including Linked Prosperity, Social Justice, and Community Service. Healy joins Stern Center Board of Directors

Michael Healy has become the newest member of the Board of Directors for the nonprofit Stern Center for Language and Learning. His formal induction was on October 19 during the group’s Annual Meeting, which was held this year at the Catamount Country Club. Healy is currently the Vice President of IBM Watson and Cloud Platform, World Wide and formerly Vice President of Strategy and Integration for North American IBM Cloud.

VITL appoints programmer analyst

Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc (VITL) has named Jonathan Bowley as its new programmer analyst. As part of the operations team, he will perform system analysis and design, and develop, maintain, test and document software for use within VITL. He will also assist in system selections, installations and provide technical support.
