Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) has announced the appointment of Stephen Kelly to its Board of Trustees. “Stephen has an accomplished background in helping non-profit organizations fulfill their missions while meeting their financial and regulatory obligations,” said Tommy Harmon, SVHC board chair. “I anticipate that he will make important contributions to our work, and I am delighted to have him join our organization.”
The Nature Conservancy in Vermont is honored to have two new and exemplary community members join its Board of Trustees who exhibit a passionate commitment to the vibrancy and health of Vermont’s natural landscape, economy, and its people.
New Board Members include: Judy Geer of Morrisville and Win Smith of Warren and Shelburne.
Lund announces two staff promotions and a new addition to Lund’s leadership team. Courtney Farrell of Essex Junction was recently promoted to Director of Child and Family Services at Lund.
The Winooski Family Center was recently presented with the 2017 Sally Fox Award from the Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation. Each year, the Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation honors Senator Sally Fox by presenting an award in her memory to a Vermont non-profit organization that provides direct services of exceptional merit to children ages birth to 18. The recipient of this year’s award is the Winooski Family Center, a collaboration of Howard Center, the City of Winooski, and the Winooski Housing Authority.
The Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS) hosted its Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, Oct. 27, at the First Congregational Church of Burlington. The event is an opportunity to honor the extraordinary contributions by volunteers, community partners and local businesses that support COTS work to end homelessness. The recipients were chosen for their outstanding service and commitment to assist and advocate for our neighbors struggling with homelessness or those who are marginally housed.

Claremont Savings Bank, a mutual savings bank headquartered in Claremont, New Hampshire announces the promotion of Lynn H. Smith to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). “Lynn has been a valued employee of Claremont Savings Bank for nine years,” said Reggie Greene, President and CEO. “Her promotion to Chief Financial Officer recognizes her increasing responsibilities and leadership position at the Bank,” Greene added.
