McGill joins Snelling Center for Government

The Snelling Center for Government is pleased to announce that Mariah McGill is joining the organization as the Director of the Early Childhood Leadership Institute. McGill, a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, has run her own consulting practice since 2014 and will continue to do so on a part-time basis. McGill’s work has revolved around scholarly research with a particular focus on health and education policy and human rights.

UVM's Nelson elected to National Academy of Sciences

The National Academy of Sciences has announced the election of Mark Nelson, Ph.D., University Distinguished Professor and Chair of Pharmacology at the University of Vermont, as a member, in recognition of his distinguished and continuing achievements in original research. Nelson joins 100 new members and 25 foreign associates elected April 30, 2019 to the National Academy of Sciences.

Stone welcomes new senior engineer Lazorchak

Stone Environmental, a Montpelier-based environmental consulting firm, is excited to announce that Peter Lazorchak, PE, LEED AP has joined the company as a Senior Water Resources Engineer. Peter will provide senior leadership for Stone’s growing environmental engineering practice, as well as support Stone’s stormwater management, agricultural engineering, stream restoration, and wastewater management services.
