Eight families to receive Lost Medals Of Valor in special ceremony at the FDNY Museum In NYC

In recognition of National Purple Heart Day (August 7), the Vermont based non-profit, Purple Hearts Reunited with the help of the FDNY and General George Patton's Granddaughter, Helen will host an incredible event honoring the families of eight deceased soldiers. Themed as "Eight on the Seventh" (8-7-17), this day will honor families who represent our nation's heroes from World War II and Vietnam.

Komline Consulting joins DRM Government Affairs Group

Downs Rachlin Martin is pleased to announce that Patti Komline, Gabrielle Malina and Andrew Brewer are joining the DRM Government and Public Affairs group. Komline served as a legislator in the Vermont House of Representatives for twelve years and was a member on several standing committees during her tenure, including the Judiciary, Health Care, and Ways and Means committees. She also successfully directed two lieutenant governor campaigns for Gov. Phil Scott.

Subway announces winners of 2019 Global Sub Jammers Competition

There is no doubt there is an art to being a Sandwich Artist at Subway restaurants. The title says it all! However, few have walked away with the Global Sub Jammers trophy. Subway congratulates Sandwich Artist Sara Tiegs from Pullman, Washington, who won the coveted title of 2019 Global Sub Jammers Champion during the brand's global convention in Toronto, Ontario in Canada. Rosemary Gould of Rutland placed 19th.

Duffy joins Maple Capital Management team

We are pleased to welcome Connor Duffy to our Portfolio Management team. Connor joined Maple Capital Management after working as Vice President and Relationship Manager for Key Private Bank in Burlington, Vermont. Connor relocated to Vermont in 2018 after 7 years in New York City at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. He has also held positions at Ayco and Northeast Investment Management. Connor has a BA in Economics from Boston College and received his MBA from Tulane University.

Prescott of The Richards Group earns WorkComp Advisor Certification

The Richards Group is pleased to announce that Shannon Prescott recently earned the Certified WorkComp Advisor designation, conferred by the Institute of WorkComp Professionals. The Asheville, North Carolina based organization trains insurance professionals to locate costly errors in Workers’ Compensation coverage. The certification training provided by the Institute is essential in reviewing Workers’ Compensation insurance reports. Designation holders must commit to continuing education and recertification every three years.
