Promotion announcement - Commander, New Haven Field Station

Col. Matthew T. Birmingham, director of the Vermont State Police, is pleased to announce the following promotion: Sgt. Matthew Daley, patrol commander at the New Haven Barracks, to lieutenant/station commander at the New Haven Barracks. Lt. Daley has served the people of Vermont since 2005, when he began his state police career as a trooper at the Shaftsbury Barracks. He transferred to the St. Albans Barracks in 2007, then joined the Traffic Safety Unit in January 2010. That summer, he became a detective trooper in the Criminal Division with the Narcotics Investigation Unit.

Jerry Partin, patrol commander at the Royalton Barracks, to lieutenant/station commander at the St. Albans Barracks. Lt. Partin has served the people of Vermont for more than 13 years. He began his state police career in 2006 as a trooper at the Middlesex Barracks, then transferred to the Traffic Safety Unit in 2012. He earned a promotion to sergeant/patrol commander at the Middlesex Barracks in 2016.

Flannery joins VHFA as CFO

Executive Director Maura Collins announced that Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) has selected Chris Flannery as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), following an extensive national search. Flannery comes to VHFA from Oak Ridge Financial in Minneapolis, where he served as Managing Director, Structured Finance. Prior to working at Oak Ridge, Flannery served as VHFA’s Financial Advisor from 2005 to 2017 while working at Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis.

Friends in Adoption announces appointment of Saltis as Exec Director

On August 1, 2019, the Friends in Adoption (FIA) Board of Directors unanimously appointed Tara Saltis as the new Executive Director of FIA. Seven new members elected to Friends of Norris Cotton Cancer Center
