Meg Gallup has been promoted to the position of Associate Accountant at Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs. Meg was hired by the firm as a Client Relations Assistant in September 2017. While working full time, she recently earned a degree in Accounting from Champlain College.

Meg’s prior education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont. As an environmental enthusiast, Meg is thrilled to work for a firm that has developed a formal Corporate Social Responsibility policy to benefit the local Vermont community as well as the environment.

Community National Bank (CNB) CEO Kathy Austin is pleased to announce the promotion of Nikole Brainard to the bank officer position of Asset Liability Manager. Nikole was born and raised in the Northeast Kingdom and is a graduate of North Country High School. She started her career with CNB in 1995 working as a Teller in the Derby office. After a short leave from banking, she rejoined the bank’s Teller line in Derby, and in 2012, joined the Finance Department.

University of Vermont President Suresh Garimella today announced the appointment of Kirk Dombrowski as vice president for research. Dombrowski will report directly to Garimella and will be a member of the president’s senior team.

Dombrowski comes to UVM from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), where he was associate dean for research and partnerships in the College of Arts and Sciences and John Bruhn Professor of Sociology. UNL’s College of Arts and Sciences has 400 tenure-track faculty and 1,000 doctoral students.

The University of Vermont Medical Center Board of Trustees has appointed four new members who will serve four-year terms – Deborah L. Winters, Owner of Firetech Sprinkler Corp.; Jesse Bridges, CEO of United Way of Northwest Vermont; Anne W. Doremus, managing partner at Hanson & Doremus Investment Management; and, Nadia A. Mitchell, Equity Initiatives Director at Champlain College.
