Michael Mucher, former president of personal lines at Electric Insurance, has been appointed as senior vice president of underwriting and distribution at N&D, part of the N&D | Union Mutual Insurance Group.

With over 30 years' experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, Mucher brings to N&D a proven track record of leadership and process improvement. In this new role, he will provide executive oversight of underwriting as well as marketing and distribution strategy for N&D.

National Life Group has announced the promotions of Kristin Cook, Crystal Trepanier and Johanna Petty-Dunlap (pictured) to senior leadership roles in operations, reinforcing its continued growth among the top 10 life insurers in the U.S.

Cook, a 20-year National Life employee, was promoted from chief underwriting officer to senior vice president for life underwriting and business development. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
