Linda Rossi re-elected to two-year term, named chair of SBDC national board
At a virtual meeting of all 62 Small Business Development Center networks in the national association, the membership elected Linda Rossi, state director of the Vermont Small Business Development Center, to another two-year term on the national board, and the board then elected Rossi as chair for this year. Rossi previously served as both secretary and vice-chair for the national board.

Tom Weigel joins Blue Cross as senior medical director
Tom Weigel, MD, a psychiatrist with a deep interest in health care technology, as joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont as senior medical director. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Weigel received his training in psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and child psychiatry at Children’s Hospital, Boston, both through Harvard Medical School.
Audubon Vermont taps Jillian Liner as director of conservation
Jillian Liner, former director of conservation at Audubon New York, has accepted the director of conservation job at Audubon Vermont. Liner has ties to Vermont, having earned her master’s degree at the University of Vermont.
“This change is a wonderful chance to return to and help protect a place and a landscape that I have always loved," Liner said, "while continuing to be connected to all of my many amazing colleagues within the National Audubon Society.”
