Mayor Miro Weinberger announced the appointment of Scot Barker as chief innovation officer for the city of Burlington. Barker, who currently serves as manager of support services at NorthCountry Federal Credit Union, brings more than 25 years of management and information technology experience to his new role. He will begin work March 7 if confirmed by the City Council.

Green Lantern Solar, a leading renewable energy development and finance company focusing on commercial-scale solar PV and energy storage systems, announced Scott Buckley has been named president. Previously vice president of finance, Buckley will lead the company in anticipation of its ongoing, accelerating growth.

The Rutland Regional Planning Commission announced that Executive Director Ed Bove will step down from his position in the coming year. Bove has been with the commission for 14 years and has served as executive director for the last eight.
