Downs Rachlin Martin welcomes attorney Daniel Jacobs
Daniel Jacobs, former investment management associate at Akin Gump in Washington, DC, has joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin.
Jacobs began work with DRM’s Business Law Group in Burlington in January. Leveraging his experience, he will continue to serve businesses and investors on a variety of complex corporate and transactional matters, including business formation; mergers and acquisitions; corporate governance; and commercial transactions.

Vermont Law appoints new associate dean for experiential learning
Vermont Law School has named Beth Locker as its new associate dean for experiential learning, an appointment that adds dean-level leadership to the school’s experiential and clinical programs and recognizes the critical role of experiential learning in legal education. Locker has served since 2018 as director of the school’s JD externship program and as an active member of the Clinical and Experiential Working Group.
