Peoples Trust Company, Franklin County’s only locally owned and operated bank, welcomed Patricia Boyce to its residential lending team. Boyce is a Vermont native with more than 30 years' experience in local banking, covering all aspects of residential lending. She has been one of the top VFHA loan originators with first-time home buyers and has extensive training in credit counseling.

Old Spokes Home in Burlington, a bike shop and nonprofit that promotes the benefits of biking, has hired Jon Copans as the organization’s new executive director. He succeeds Laura Jacoby, who oversaw the organization’s start as a nonprofit and served as executive director for five years before stepping down to spend time with family.

Kim Rupe, former communications and community engagement director at the Chamber and Economic Development of the Rutland Region, has joined the nonpartisan Vermont Council on Rural Development as its first development and communications associate. In her new role, Rupe will be charged with promoting VCRD programming and successes, highlighting the work and stories of local leaders in rural communities across the state and helping lead fundraising efforts to sustain and grow the organization's programs and impact.
