Melissa Rosenberg, an Emmy Award-winning television writer and producer and a screenwriter, is joining the board of trustees at Bennington College, her alma mater. In addition to general trustee duties, Rosenberg will also serve on Bennington’s Education and Community Life committee and engage in its strategic planning process.

Meg Hansen, former executive director of the health policy think tank Vermonters for Health Care Freedom, has been named president of the Ethan Allen Institute, a policy research and educational nonprofit organization, effective March 1. She succeeds Rob Roper, who led the institute for nine years.

Jireh S Billings Jr of Woodstock, director of solution sales at ANC-Learfield, a national media rights and technology business, recently assumed the position of finance chair of the Vermont Republican Party.

Billings, 33, a native Vermonter with relations throughout the state, both through family and business, said he is eager to make an immediate impression in his new post.
