Julie Arel named deputy commissioner of state health department
Julie Arel, former director of the Division of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention in the Vermont Department of Health, has been promoted to deputy commissioner of the department, effective Aug 1. She will serve alongside fellow Deputy Commissioner Kelly Dougherty.
Christine Brown promoted to state director of captive insurance
Christine Brown has been promoted from assistant director to director of captive insurance at the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation. She succeeds Sandy Bigglestone, who will be appointed deputy commissioner of the division when David Provost retires at the end of August.
