Vermont Human Rights Commission appoints new executive director
Big Hartman, staff attorney investigator at the Vermont Human Rights Commission since September 2021, has been appointed executive director of the agency, effective July 31. Hartman succeeds Bor Yang, who has held the post since 2018.
“Big is one of the best staff attorney investigators who has worked at the Human Rights Commission,” Yang said. “They bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to the position. I have all of the confidence in their ability to move this agency forward.”

HCRS promotes Warren Sergeant to chief information officer
Health Care and Rehabilitation Services, southeastern Vermont’s nonprofit community mental health agency, has promoted Warren Sergeant from director of information technology to chief information officer.
Sergeant joined HCRS more than two decades ago and was appointed to the agency’s senior leadership team as part of his promotion to IT director in 2014. He has oversight responsibilities for all of HCRS’ computer systems, including maintenance, implementation, training and development.
