The Nature Conservancy in Vermont names Eve Frankel as state director
The Nature Conservancy in Vermont has appointed Eve Frankel as the organization's next state director. She succeeds Heather Furman, who was promoted to lead The Nature Conservancy's Appalachians Program.
Frankel joined TNC Vermont in 2014 as director of strategic communications. Most recently, she has served as the organization's deputy director, leading programs in government relations and policy, community engagement, and communications.
Gifford welcomes Roz Vara-Good to addiction medicine team
Family nurse practitioner Roz Vara-Good has joined Gifford Health Care, serving on the addiction medicine team at Kingwood Health Center in Randolph and at Gifford Health Center at Berlin — Primary Care.
Vara-Good treats patients for opiate use and alcohol use disorders. In her role, she provides medications and facilitates referrals for behavioral health supports and coordinates care with primary care providers as well as a drug and alcohol use disorder counselor.
Janet Ancel joins board of Public Assets Institute
Former state Rep. Janet Ancel, chief architect of Vermont’s groundbreaking state child tax credit law, has been unanimously elected to the board of the Public Assets Institute, an independent research organization on state budget, tax and economic issues.
