Psychotherapist Corina Rose, MA, LCMHC, has joined the Behavioral Health team at Gifford Health Care, providing counseling at Gifford’s Randolph and Berlin locations. Rose helps adult and teenage clients work through a variety of issues, from mood disorders such as depression to relationship challenges with couples.

On Saturday, September 29th at the Annual Burke Fall Festival in East Burke, Vermont, the Burke Area Chamber of Commerce awarded the 2018 Burke Citizen of the Year award to local resident, Des Hertz. Chamber Board Member, John Kascenska, surprised Hertz with the award in recognition of her leadership role with the One Burke organization.

Cody Bryan from North Clarendon, VT finished third overall in the 2018 edition of the TMC Futuretech National Student Technician Competition held in Orlando Florida September 17th and 18th. Futruretech is a competition for post-secondary student technicians held by the Technology and Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Association during their annual fall meeting.

Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) is pleased to announce that Charlene Ives, MD, has accepted the role as the medical director of the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center (SVRCC).

Nimesh Mehta has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at National Life Group. Mehta has held several positions with National Life over the past 11 years, most recently as the head of the company’s Customer Service Center and previously as Chief Technology Officer and then Chief Strategy Officer.

Okemo Mountain Resort welcomes Jason Palmer as its new director of food and beverage. He will oversee all aspects of the resort’s culinary operations on a year-round basis. A native Vermonter originally from Colchester, Palmer started skiing when he was 5 years old and competed on his high school ski team. He is a graduate of The University of Vermont.
