Rick Milliken, General Manager of the DoubleTree Hotel Burlington, has announced that Natalie Miller has been named 2009 Employee of the Year. Miller, a Front Office Associate, joined the hotel in 2008 and was honored for exceptional guest service and meeting a high level of DoubleTree standards.

Merrow, Director of Operations and Safety for Trumbull-Nelson Construction Company of Hanover, NH was named 2010 Board Chairman for the NH/VT Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) at the organization’s annual meeting in Bedford, NH. A resident of Newport, New Hampshire, Mr. Merrow served as Vice Chairman of the ABC Chapter in 2009.

Dr. Jason H.T. Bates has been appointed as the Interim Director of the School of Engineering (SoE) in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS). Bates will split his time between his continuing research activities in the College of Medicine and in his new role as the Interim Director of the SoE, which he will begin immediately.
Dr. George F. Pinder has been elected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), one of the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer. Charles M.
