Encore Renewable Energy, a full-service community-scale renewable energy development company based in Burlington, announced new leadership of its project development team. Ralph Meima joined the company as vice president of project development, and Jake Clark was promoted from project developer to vice president of project development.

The University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group Board of Directors has added Helen Labun, long-time health care policy advocate, to its members, and reelected Amit Lodha, assistant vice president of manufacturing at Agilent Technologies, to a second term.

Christopher Caldwell, executive vice president and chief lending officer at Community National Bank in Newport, has been appointed to the board of directors at Green Mountain United Way. Caldwell brings a long history of experience not only in the banking industry, but also in working with United Ways in both Indiana and Delaware.

United Way of Northwest Vermont, an organization dedicated to improving lives and advancing the common good in Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties, has hired Nina Lovelace as controller.

Allison Kuepper, former general counsel at Select Dental Management, has joined the boutique law firm Merritt & Merritt as counsel. Kuepper is a magna cum laude graduate of Middlebury College and earned a law degree, with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she served on the editorial board of the Connecticut Law Review.

Erin Holt, former director at CCA for Social Good, has been appointed director of marketing and communications at Northeast Delta Dental in Concord, NH. In her new role, Holt is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of the company’s marketing and communications efforts.

The Union Mutual of Vermont Companies has elected Robert Cotton, chief operating officer of National Life Group, to the board of directors of the Union Mutual Fire Insurance Company and the New England Guaranty Insurance Company.

Bentley Munsell has been named February winner of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at Southwestern Vermont Health Care. Munsell, a seven-year SVHC employee, was cited for his empathy and composed demeanor during two recent patient visits to the center's emergency department.

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department has named Jeremy Schmid of Cambridge as Game Warden of the Year. A game warden since 2015, Schmid was nominated for the award by his peers and selected for his “integrity, professionalism and high motivation in all his work duties.”
