Green Mountain United Way has welcomed Blaire Haggett, former manager at Onion River Crossroads, to its Working Bridges resource coordination team. Haggett brings to the organization more than 12 years' experience in advocacy and guidance to those experiencing hardships and struggling with financial and social challenges.

Hillary Sylvester, former charge nurse at Northwestern Medical Center in St Albans, has joined the midwifery team at Gifford Health Care in Randolph. Sylvester is a recent graduate of the Frontier Nursing University midwifery program and has extensive nursing career experience. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh.

At an April 7 Statehouse ceremony during Prevention Day 2022, Prevention Works! VT bestowed its annual Champion Awards on nine individuals and organizations for their work on behalf of substance-misuse prevention in Vermont.

The Vermont Council on World Affairs has named Avery Anderson as its new program manager of exchanges. She joins the council from Pathfinder International, where she served most recently as business development coordinator.

Jose Herrera, former executive director of the Valley of the Sun YMCA in Phoenix, has been named new executive director of the Vermont Bar Foundation, effective May 9. He will succeed Debbie Bailey, who retired last December, and Josie Leavitt, who has served as interim director since January.
