The Vermont Council on World Affairs has named Avery Anderson as its new program manager of exchanges. She joins the council from Pathfinder International, where she served most recently as business development coordinator.
In her new role, Anderson will oversee the VCWA's exchange programs, including the US Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program, the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative, the Open World program of the US Congress and additional youth exchanges and programs.
Anderson has a background in international development and humanitarian assistance and a passion for promoting cultural awareness, exchange and collaboration. She holds a master's degree from the Network on Humanitarian Action at the University of Uppsala in Sweden.
