Governor Jim Douglas today announced that Vermont artist Kate Gridley has been commissioned to paint his official portrait, which will eventually hang in the State House. Three Stratton skiers were inducted into the 2009-10 Century Club for skiing 100-plus days in the 125 day ski season. Steve Obletz of Stratton Mountain, Vermont, a member of Stratton’s 50+ ‘Trailblazers’ club led the pack with 106 days on the mountain, while David and Carey Ponelli of Bondville, Vermont were a close second with 105 and 103 days respectively.
