Small Dog Electronics named Rebecca Kraemer to the position of Director of IT and Consulting. She had previously been working at Small Dog in the role of Technician, Consultant and IT Support. This promotion makes Ms. Kraemer a member of the firm’s senior management team. Kraemer has been at Small Dog Electronics for three years, and has over 16 years of experience in Apple® consulting.

Hood to become President of National Doctors’ Organization

Virginia L. Hood, MBBS, MPH, FRACP, FACP, has been elected 2011-2012 President of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the nation’s largest medical specialty organization. Her term will begin during Internal Medicine 2011, ACP’s annual scientific meeting in San Diego, Calif., April 7-9.

Saint Michael’s College associate professor of physics, Dr. Alain Brizard, learned this month that he will be the recipient of a grant from the Department of Energy for $33,000 each of the next three years to support his research. The funding comes from the DOE’s office of Fusion Energy Sciences of the Office of Science.
