Rutland Economic Development Corporation (REDC) has announced Executive Director Lyle Jepson will be stepping down from his role leading the organization to assume a position at Vermont Technical College – and Tyler Richardson has been appointed interim executive director of REDC.

Channel 17/Town Meeting Television is pleased to announce that Dan Logan has been named Production/Channel Coordinator. Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Dan is a dual citizen who recently moved to Burlington to join the Channel 17 team.

Vermont Tech’s Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) is proud to announce two recent hires to their staff. Lyle Jepson of Rutland has joined CEWD as the Director of the Vermont Career and Technical Teacher Education Program.

Community College of Vermont (CCV) will receive a 30% increase in philanthropic support from the J. Warren & Lois McClure Foundation for academic year 2018-19. The College is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a total of $235,000 to support its work in four critical areas.

Berkshire Bank is excited to announce that they have awarded forty high school seniors with a record $100,000 in scholarship funds through the Berkshire Bank Foundation Scholarship Awards Program. Each of these recipients will receive $2,500 to further their education.

Vermont PBS had a great night at the New England Emmy Awards, bringing home two of the coveted statuettes- one for environmental programming for Saving our Waters and a second in the interstitial category for MLT375: Cité Mémoire. Saving Our Waters tackles the urgent need to protect our waterways from pollution and climate change through the lens of the Lake Champlain Basin.

Holly Baker was recently promoted to QA Analyst and works in the Inntopia Stowe office. Over her 11-year tenure at Inntopia, she has worn a few different hats including Strategic Account Manager and Support and Training Manager. In her new position, Holly is responsible for the CE Commerce team’s certification testing for new integrations and onboarding.

The Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center announces Bianca Roa as the newest member of its team, coming onboard as Coordinator of Communications and Development. Roa’s new role will include strengthening the Center’s long-term fundraising capabilities, implementing new marketing strategies and producing media content.

Tom Torti, President of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, announced the promotion of Tori Colarusso to the role of Program Manager of Leadership Champlain. Prior to joining the Chamber, Tori worked in a marketing role for the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation in upstate New York, a nonprofit dedicated to local community and business development.
