Norwich University is pleased to announce that Lt. Col. Daniel Daoust, (U.S. Army, Ret.), has been appointed director of the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies’ (CGCS) Norwich Pro organization effective June 1, 2020. Norwich Pro offers online professional development courses and certificates in high-demand skill sets.

The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region (VNAHSR) is pleased to announce this year’s Employee of the Year and HEALTH Matters Award Winners. Thirty-eight employees were recognized for years of service including Sharon Davis, Utilization Review Specialist for 35 years of service. Davis was also recognized as the VNAHSR’s Employee of the Year.

University of Vermont Geography professor Lesley-Ann L Dupigny-Giroux, PhD, the Vermont State Climatologist, has been elected to serve a two-year term as the president of the American Association of State Climatologists.

TCE welcomed Brett McCreary, E.I. to our Engineering Team at TCE earlier this year. Brett was an intern for TCE in 2017 and 2018 and then after graduating from UVM in 2019 worked for EIV Technical Services doing roadway inspection work for the Downtown Waterbury Reconstruction Road Project.

TCE welcomed Gerald Stockman, LLS in late May, and he has taken over managing the survey department while Mark Day oversees our entire Field Services Division which includes both TCE Survey and Vermont Underground Locators. Gerald has extensive experience in surveying, is a licensed VT LS, a UAS drone pilot, a Paul Smith’s grad, and lives in Jericho VT.

Daniel Boone Meeden joined TCE in early May and has become an integral part of our Septic Design Team within the Engineering Department. Daniel prefers to be called by his unique middle name “Boone” and comes to TCE from Manchester, NH where he worked for Meridian Land Services for several years designing and permitting septic systems.

Ledyard National Bank is pleased to welcome Joe Scearbo as an Assistant Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager in their Commercial Banking Division. In this position, Joe will be responsible for strengthening and growing commercial client relationships in the Upper Valley and surrounding area.

Members of the Rutland Area Medical Community recently awarded six $1,250 scholarships to local students pursuing a career in healthcare. The scholarship program has been made possible through the generosity of Rutland area physicians, retired physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.

Peterson Consulting, Inc. (PCI) announces the promotion of Hunter Gomez to Senior Project Manager. In this position, he will take on greater responsibility with PCI’s clients. Gomez has also been named the Health and Safety Officer of PCI. As Health and Safety Officer, Gomez has developed and continuously updates the PCI Company Safety Policy.

Having an incredible passion for research and nutrition science, Alyssa has earned a BS in molecular genetics and microbiology from The University of Vermont, an MS in nutrition and functional medicine from the University of Western States, and a certificate in clinical trial administration from University of California San Diego.

The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region (VNAHSR) has named Nicole L. Moran, MSN, BA, RN as Chief Clinical Operations Officer. She will have system-level responsibility for organizing, planning, directing, and evaluating all clinical services and care delivery models. This includes home health care and hospice and palliative care services.

ReArch Company is pleased to announce that Taylor Newberry has joined our team as a job site Foreman. Taylor is responsible for working directly with subcontractors at our job sites. He plays a vital role in maintaining safety on job sites, while also adhering to project schedules through active involvement daily in the field.
