Emergency department nurse Kathleen Cloud recently took home honors as the April recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at Southwestern Vermont Health Care. Hillary Sylvester, former charge nurse at Northwestern Medical Center in St Albans, has joined the midwifery team at Gifford Health Care in Randolph. Sylvester is a recent graduate of the Frontier Nursing University midwifery program and has extensive nursing career experience. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh.

At an April 7 Statehouse ceremony during Prevention Day 2022, Prevention Works! VT bestowed its annual Champion Awards on nine individuals and organizations for their work on behalf of substance-misuse prevention in Vermont.
