Nicholas Johan Kahm, doctoral candidate in Medieval and Byzantine Studies at The Catholic University of America, who has dual citizenship in the U.S. and Sweden, has been named the Fairbanks Visiting Humanities Scholar-in-Residence at Saint Michael’s College. His dissertation, to be defended this semester, is titled “Thomas Aquinas on Sense Appetite as Participating in Reason.”

On Tuesday, August 6, 2013, New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new branch at 1000 Shelburne Rd. in South Burlington. Groundbreaking took place on October 22nd, 2012. The 3,900 sq. ft. branch was designed by Freeman French Freeman architects. Stewart Construction served as general contractor for the project.
