The Vermont Working Lands Enterprise Board (WLEB) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board: Beverley E. Thurber for the appointment of a representative of Vermont’s dairy industry who is also a dairy farmer, and Joseph W.

Larry Sudbay, President and Chief Executive Officer of SymQuest Group, is pleased to announce the hiring of new Warehouse Specialist Sean D. Raymond.

In his role as a Warehouse Specialist, Raymond will be responsible for ensuring order accuracy and quality while maintaining a high level of warehouse organization.

Burlington College faculty member Sandy Baird was presented with the Sister Elizabeth Candon Distinguished Service Award at Vermont Women in Higher Education’s Annual Leadership dinner.

Norwich University’s Writers Series will host a rare double header when an acclaimed short-story writer and poet visit campus for public readings.

Woden Teachout of Middlesex was recently elected to the board of trustees for the Vermont Historical Society. As a professor at Union Institute & University, her research and writings explore the intersection of history, politics and patriotism. She has also authored Capture the Flag: A Political History of American Patriotism (2009). Ms.

Michael L. Seaver, Vermont President, People’s United Bank, Burlington, Vt., was named a trustee of Saint Michael's College this fall. He attended his first meeting of a three-year term on the 31-member board Oct. 3-5, on the campus of the liberal arts residential Catholic college.
