The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston has announced the appointment of four new members to the First District Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC):

• Bernie P. Isabelle – President/ CEO, Vermont Federal Credit Union, Burlington, VT

North Country Hospital Medical Staff President, Dr. Jennifer Ladd, delivered several boxes of food and well over $2,300 last week to the NEKCA food shelf from a month long effort. "The medical staff wanted to donate to the community and decided to give food and money to the local NEKCA food shelf.

Liam Lustberg bested 40 other students from across Vermont to win the Vermont Spelling Bee on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Lustberg, an 8th grader from Frederick H. Tuttle Middle School, will now compete against top spellers from every other state in the nation in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in June.

Michael Nethercott is the winner of the 2014 Vermont Writers’ Prize. His story “An Empire at Twilight” reveals an elderly man’s close connection to land that has been in his family for generations. The Vermont Writers’ prize is awarded by Green Mountain Power and Vermont Magazine.

Shelli Guay joined the staff of Maple Leaf Farm as Business Manager. Her 25 years of broad experience in bookkeeping, marketing and office management includes Union Bank, Acorn Marketing, and Hayes Group. Shelli and her family are active with the Vermont March of Dimes, Scouting, and their local PTA/ Booster Clubs.

C2 (Competitive Computing), a Colchester-based Internet Business and Enterprise Infrastructure consulting firm, announced that Eric Lamy, Project Manager, has received his PMP certification. The Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is the highest, industry-recognized certification for project managers.

Art Ciullo joins Poulos Insurance as a Property & Casualty producer in its Morrisville office. He brings with him an extensive business background and top sales production performances with Fortune 500 companies. Art has lived in Stowe for 14 years.

Meridith Vaughan, RN, of Moretown, VT, joins Lamoille Home Health & Hospice as its new Long Term Care Director. Meridith has served as Program Coordinator at Out and About for the past four years.

Governor Peter Shumlin has appointed two new members to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Board.

HowardCenter Executive Director Todd Centybear has announced that he will retire from his position in December.
