Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO) has announced the election of Ms. Michele Nelson to serve as VELCO's Chief Financial Officer effective immediately. Ms. Nelson had been serving as the company's Vice President of Finance since 2012. The VELCO Board of Directors unanimously approved Nelson's elevation at their February 5 meeting.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center has welcd Rheumatologist Carey J. Field, MD to the team of medical specialists. Having joined the staff in January, Dr. Field is currently accepting patients for diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases and clinical problems involving joints, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases, vasculitis, and heritable connective tissue disorders.
