New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) has announced the winners of its 2021 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Scholarships. Each year, NEFCU awards three STEM scholarships of $3,000 each. This year’s winners:

* Manolis Anemikos will graduate from Milton High School in June and plans to attend the University of Delaware.

Lexi Krupp will join Vermont Public Radio in June as a Report For America journalist, the station has announced. She will cover the Upper Valley and Northeast Kingdom regions, with a special focus on the challenges and opportunities in rural communities.

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is pleased to welcome Hospitalist Nosa Aigbe Lebarty, MD, to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Medical Group. Dr. Lebarty earned a bachelor’s in Biology from the City University of New York Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. He went on to earn his medical degree at Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland in 2008.

Vermont State Treasurer Beth Pearce announced the names of twenty Vermont students who won this year’s prize drawing for the Treasurer’s Office’s Reading is an Investment financial education program. The winners were drawn from 2,419 K-6 students who completed all steps of the financial literacy curriculum, entitling them to the drawing for one of twenty $250 college savings accounts.
