Green Mountain United Way recently graduated 12 new financial coaches from the agency's KEEP Financial Coaching program, marking 128 graduates since the program's inception in 2017.

Visual artist, graffiti scholar and educator Will Kasso Condry of Brandon has been named winner of the inaugural Vermont Prize. The award, administered by Burlington City Arts in collaboration with the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, The Current and Hall Art Foundation, carries a $5,000 cash prize.

Ramsey Herrington, MD, associate professor of surgery at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine, has been appointed as inaugural chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, effective July 1. Herrington joined the UVM faculty in 2006 and has served as division chief of emergency medicine since 2017.

He succeeds Sascha Mayer, who will stay on with the company as chief brand officer and chairperson of the board.

Donald Craig, service manager of VIP Tires & Service in Shelburne, has signed onto a US Defense Department program that promotes cooperation and understanding between civilian employers and their National Guard and Reserve employees.

Calvin Russell and Ryan Ahern have joined ReArch Company as senior project manager and director of field operations, respectively.

Russell, who has over a decade of construction project-management experience with national and local firms, is responsible for overseeing some of ReArch’s most technically challenging construction projects.

Patrick Boyle, former senior vice president and chief learning officer at Underwriters Laboratories, has been named director and CEO of Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center in Randolph Center. He succeeds interim director and CEO Patricia Giavara, who will retire on June 30 after 19 years at VMEC.
