Paw Print & Mail, a local printing and direct mail fulfillment company, has welcomed a new employee at their office in South Burlington. Sarah Haselton joined the Paw Print & Mail team as Sales & Marketing Specialist.

The Green Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America awarded Dr Lewis R First its 2017 Distinguished Citizen of the Year award at a banquet held recently at Trader Duke’s hotel (formerly the Doubletree) in South Burlington.

The award is named for VCIL’s longtime receptionist, who retired in 2011 after over 30 years on the job.

The Winooski Family Center was recently presented with the 2017 Sally Fox Award from the Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation. Each year, the Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation honors Senator Sally Fox by presenting an award in her memory to a Vermont non-profit organization that provides direct services of exceptional merit to children ages birth to 18.

The Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS) hosted its Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, Oct. 27, at the First Congregational Church of Burlington. The event is an opportunity to honor the extraordinary contributions by volunteers, community partners and local businesses that support COTS work to end homelessness.
