Upper Valley Business Alliance elects four new board members

The Upper Valley Business Alliance, a regional chamber of commerce that serves as an advocate for businesses and organizations along the Vermont-New Hampshire border, has elected four new members to its board of directors.

They are John Scott, chief financial officer at Hypertherm; Teresa Malcolm Deane, vice president of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at Dartmouth Health; Jeffrey Marks, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Ledyard Bank; and Timothy McNamara, mayor of the city of Lebanon.

Heritage Family CEO Chris Gomez appointed to VHFA board

Chris Gomez, president and CEO of Rutland-based Heritage Family Credit Union, has been appointed by Gov. Phil Scott to the Vermont Housing Finance Agency Board of Commissioners. He succeeds Thomas Leavitt, CEO of Northfield Savings Bank.

The board comprises four ex officio members and five gubernatorial appointees representing private and public lending, real estate, housing and community interests.

Paula Clark, Lindsey Farrar feted by insurance association

The Northeast region of the International Association of Insurance Professionals has honored Vermont's Paula Clark and Lindsey Farrar for their contributions to the insurance industry.

Clark, senior executive assistant at Vermont Mutual Insurance Group in Montpelier, was named Professional of the Year, and Farrar, business development and marketing manager at G.W. Savage Corp. in South Burlington, was named Young New Professional of the Year and Client Services Professional of the Year.
