Burlington High senior named Vermont Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year
Henry Tornwini, a senior at Burlington High School, has been named 2024 Vermont Youth of the Year by the Vermont Boys & Girls Club and will advance to the Northeast regional Youth of the Year competition June 20 in New York City.
"I would like to thank my club for the opportunity to participate in the Youth of the Year competition," Torwini said. I'm proud to represent the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington on a regional level."
Middlebury president to step down in January to lead American Academy of Arts & Sciences
Middlebury College President Laurie Patton has announced she will be leaving the school in January to become president of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, effective July 2025. Patton took office on July 1, 2015, and has served as Middlebury's 17th president.
Vermont Mutual’s Brody Gilbert promoted to senior vice president
Vermont Mutual Insurance Group has promoted Vice President of Finance and Treasurer Brody N. Gilbert to senior vice president of finance and operations, and treasurer.
Gilbert joined Vermont mutual in 2017 from Bluestone Life, where he was director of finance. He has also held senior positions at Arbella Insurance Group and PwC. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
