Vermont Chamber of Commerce announces staff changes

The Vermont Chamber of Commerce has announced that Jeff Morton has been hired as the Director of Communications. Morton comes from WCAX-TV, where he was the Assignment Editor for three years. He graduated from St. Michael’s College in Colchester with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. While in College, he was the Executive Editor of the College’s online magazine. Morton is a native Vermonter and now lives in Milton.

Governor appoints Caledonia County State’s Attorney

Governor Jim Douglas has announced the appointment of Lisa A. Warren of Waterford to be State’s Attorney for Caledonia County. Warren was most recently Deputy State’s Attorney for the county. She has also been active on the Northeast Kingdom Domestic Violence Task force as well as the Vulnerable Adults Task Force. “Lisa’s experience in the State’s Attorney’s office, coupled with her community involvement make her a great pick for State’s Attorney,” said Governor Douglas.
