Lund Family Center announces new hires

Cat Cutillo has joined Lund Family Center as the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator. Cutillo brings seven years of experience working in media as a photojournalist, photo editor and writer. Her photography has been published in Budget Travel Magazine, Golf World Magazine, AOL, New York Press and others. In 2009, she expanded into videojournalism and producing short videos for the web.

Vermont Teddy Bear Company announces new hires

Mathew Chabot was recently promoted to Director of Customer and Employee Relations at Vermont Teddy Bear Company. Matt joined Vermont Teddy Bear Company in July 2010 as the Customer Relations Manager. Prior to working for Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Matt worked for Filene’s and Macy’s Department Stores in Burlington as Store Manager and VP-Store Manager, respectively. Matt attended Johnson State College.

Cameron MacKugler Earns LEED Accreditation

Bread Loaf is pleased to announce that Cameron MacKugler has become a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED is accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

U-32 teacher chosen for Ninth Annual Statewide Victor R. Swenson Humanities Educator Award

The Vermont Humanities Council has named U-32 High School teacher Steve Barrows as its 2011 humanities educator of the year. Barrows, who teaches literature, journalism, and film classes at U-32, will be presented the ninth annual Victor R. Swenson Humanities Educator Award at VHC’s annual fall conference on November 12 at the Stoweflake Mountain Resort in Stowe. The conference topic this year is “The Power of the Humanities: Why They Matter.”

VHC Board Chair James Wilbur will present the award at 8:30 a.m. in the Pinnacle Room, along with a $1,000 check to Barrows.
