Ray Keller, M.D. named medical director of Fletcher Allen emergency department

Ray Keller, M.D., FACEP has been appointed medical director of the Emergency Department at Fletcher Allen Health Care. He has been serving in an interim capacity in that position since October, 2011.

As chief of the division of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Keller will oversee 21 emergency medicine physicians and 14 Physician Assistants who handle approximately 61,000 visits per year to the emergency department and the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Vermont.

Donald A. Woodworth, III admitted to Vermont Bar

Donald A. Woodworth, III, who joined Merritt & Merritt & Moulton in 2012, has recently been admitted to the Vermont bar. Don received his B.A. in history with a minor in Spanish from Northwestern University. He earned a J.D. from the University Of Denver Sturm College Of Law and was admitted to the Colorado bar in 2006. After receiving his J.D., Don worked at Holme Roberts & Owen LLP in Denver where he specialized in general corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. Recently, Don received an M.B.A.

Grateful patient honors Dr. Frank Ittleman with $1 Million Gift

A former patient of cardiothoracic surgeon Frank Ittleman, M.D. has donated $1 million to Fletcher Allen Health Care to establish a professorship in his name at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. The creation of the Frank P. Ittleman Professorship will be used to help the hospital and the College attract and retain a nationally recognized cardiothoracic surgeon in the future.
