Vermont Teddy Bear Co’s bear crew grows

The Vermont Teddy Bear Co’s Bear Crew has grown in the last few months. The Sourcing department has hired Matthew Mole as the Director of Strategic Sourcing. In this role, Matt will implement methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most efficient flow of materials from sourcing to receiving dock. Matthew has a history in organic textiles. He created the first complete global supply chain for certified organic wool from farm to finished product. Also joining the Sourcing department was Sarah Hays. Sarah is VTB’s new Off Shore Coordinator.

Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce announces recent additions to the staff

Tom Torti, President of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce announced two recent additions to the Chamber’s staff:

Patrick O’Neil joined the Chamber in December as Financial Operations Manager. Prior to joining the Chamber, he spent six years managing the accounting and finance for the North American branch of Garmont. Patrick received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Vermont and is a lifelong resident of Essex, Vermont.

ReArch Company announces appointments and promotions

Evan Langfeldt of ReArch Company was recently promoted to Vice President of Development after having served as Director of Business Development for the previous five years. Josh Quinn, a longtime Project Manager for ReArch Company was recently promoted to Director of Property Management Services. ReArch hired Matthew Burzon as Manager of Business Development, and Armand Bernagozzi as Project Superintendent.

Caroline Carpenter appointed COO at National Bank of Middlebury

G. Kenneth Perine, President and CEO of National Bank of Middlebury is pleased to announce that Caroline R. Carpenter has been named Chief Operating Officer of the bank. Ms. Carpenter most recently held the position as Executive Vice President of the bank, Finance and Technology Department Manager. She serves on the board of directors of NBM and is Treasurer of Middlebury National Corporation, the bank’s holding company. Mr. Perine, in announcing Ms. Carpenter’s new position, said “We are fortunate to have someone of Caroline’s capabilities to manage the day to day operations of the bank.

Norwich names new director of corporate and foundation relations

Norwich University officials named David Thurlow as the new director of corporate and foundation relations.

Thurlow has been working in nonprofit programming, development and management for nearly 20 years with organizations that include Mass Audubon, the Mount Washington Observatory, New Hampshire Public Television, the University of Vermont and the Vermont Foodbank.
