Simoneau announces for South Burlington City council run

Mike Simoneau has announced that he will run for a seat on the South Burlington City Council in the upcoming March elections.

A resident of South Burlington since 1980, Simoneau graduated from Rice High School in 1969 and the University of Vermont in 1973. He and his wife Geri Reilly have two children, Reilly and Mike Jr., who graduated from South Burlington schools and currently attend the University of Vermont. Mike and Geri own and operate Geri Reilly Real Estate in South Burlington.

Dr. Felicia Kornbluh reappointed to State Women’s Commission

Speaker of the Vermont House of Representatives Shap Smith has reappointed Dr. Felicia Kornbluh of Williston to serve on the Vermont Commission on Women (VCW).

Dr. Kornbluh is Director of the Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies Program and Associate Professor of History at the University of Vermont. A historian of social welfare, law and grassroots politics in the twentieth‐century United States, her first book was The Battle for Welfare Rights: Politics and Poverty in Modern America (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2007).

Berkshire Hills names Josephine Iannelli EVP Chief Financial Officer

Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: BHLB) today announced that it has appointed Josephine Iannelli Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer effective immediately. Ms. Iannelli, 41, has served as Berkshire’s Senior Vice President, Principal Accounting Officer and has participated in financial oversight since July 2013.
