National Board names VT state archivist, Tanya Marshall, president
Secretary of State Jim Condos is pleased to recognize Tanya Marshall, Vermont State Archivist and Director of the Vermont State Archives & Records Administration at the Secretary of State’s Office, for her recent election as president of the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA).
Secretary Condos congratulated Marshall on her presidency and commended NAGARA on their excellent choice. NAGARA represents Federal, state and local archivists, records managers and other government record administrators throughout the United States.
Creative economy champion, Lars Hasselblad Torres, will lead Generator, Burlington's maker space
Generator, Burlington's downtown maker space, welcomes Lars Hasselblad Torres as its new Executive Director.
Lars will join Generator on October 27 from Vermont’s Agency of Commerce where he served as Director of the Office of the Creative Economy. During his time at the agency, Lars established a presence, visibility and standing by fostering strategic partnerships, putting support behind key events around the state, directing research and policy efforts and developing a communications platform.
BMH adds Fred Landes, MD, to medical staff
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital announced the hiring of Fred Landes, MD to the medical staff. He will provide care for patients in the BMH Center for Wound Healing and the hospital’s Emergency Department.
Landes joins BMH after serving as Medical Director for the North Adams Hospital Wound Center since its opening 2011. He was also an Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine at North Adams Regional Hospital for the past 15 years.
