Molly Lambert Elected to Housing Vemont board of directors

The members of Housing Vermont have elected Molly Lambert to fill a vacant seat on its Board of Directors. Ms. Lambert is currently a principal in Lambert Mediation and Consulting. From 2010 to 2013, she was appointed by President Obama to be USDA Rural Development State Director for Vermont and New Hampshire. She served as president of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association from 2002 to 2009. From 1998 to 2002, Ms. Lambert was the Secretary of Commerce and Community Development, a cabinet-level position in the Administration of Governor Howard Dean.

New pastry chef joins acclaimed culinary team at Woodstock Inn & Resort

Gary S. Thulander, president and general manager of the Woodstock Inn & Resort, announced the appointment of Lerome Campbell as new pastry chef at the venerated resort’s dining venues, in particular, the Red Rooster restaurant.

Governor appoints Kerry Secrest of Brattleboro to Vermont Commission on Women

Governor Peter Shumlin has appointed Kerry Secrest of Brattleboro to serve on the Vermont Commission on Women (VCW).

Commissioner Secrest is a leadership coach for individuals and organizations through Watershed Coaching, her Brattleboro-based firm focusing on executive coaching, women’s leadership, team coaching, and leadership training.

Marc Sherman of Stowe Mercantile joins National Retail Federation Small Business Retail Council steering committee

Vermont retailer Marc Sherman of Stowe Mercantile has joined the National Retail Federation’s Small Business Retail Council steering committee. As a member of the committee, Sherman will help shape the Council’s agenda and activities. The Small Business Retail Council will meet for the very first time in October as part of Retail Jobs Week, which is aimed at educating policymakers and the public on the retail industry’s positive impact.
