Gifford’s Twin River Health Center welcomes Susan Tubens, PA-C

Susan Tubens, PA-C, has joined Twin River Health Center’s team, adding primary care to their patient-centered urology and OB/Gyn practices.

In 27 years as a physician assistant, Tubens has cared for patients with medical needs ranging from trauma to ongoing primary care. She and her husband, Gifford Obstetrician/Gynecologist Sean Tubens, moved from Florida to Bethel, Vermont, after searching for a small and friendly community where they could practice medicine and enjoy the outdoors.

Bridget Asay appointed solicitor general of Vermont

Following the practice in more than 35 other states, Vermont has its own solicitor general. Attorney general Bill Sorrell has appointed assistant attorney general Bridget Asay as Vermont’s first solicitor general. Within the Office of Attorney General, the solicitor general is responsible for oversight of state and federal appeals of lower court decisions. Asay will have supervisory authority for the approximately 100 appeals handled by the Attorney general’s office each year.

The Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations to US Customs and Border Protection appoints Amy Magnus to the 14th Term. Ms. Magnus will join 19 other members who are tasked with discussing issues of global supply chain security, CBP modernization, and Customs regulations, and providing advice to the Commissioner of US CBP and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Tax, Trade and Tariff Policy.

NU welcomes Maine architect and alum Gavin Engler to speak

Norwich University’s School of Architecture + Art will host the final event in its 2014–15 Lecture Series on Friday, April 10 at 4 p.m. in Chaplin Hall Gallery.
