Women in Chittenden County searching for a new adventure need look no further. Burlington Adventure Boot Camp for Women announces ISMA Certified Personal Trainer Travis Gervais as the new owner/trainer.

Gervais, an Essex Junction resident and St. Albans native, holds seven different fitness certifications including AAAI, HKC, and Adventure Boot Camp, as well as completed seven marathons, four 50K runs, three 50 mile runs and most recently, the TARC 100 mile run in Massachusetts.

Leah Skinner joins Davis & Hodgdon accounting firm

Leah Skinner has joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as an Associate Accountant. Leah graduated from the University of Vermont with a Master’s degree in Accounting and from Wagner College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Leah’s prior experience includes internships in both corporate and individual accounting for a large and diverse group of clients at firms in New York City as well as with National Life Group in Montpelier. She is currently sitting for the CPA exam.

Doug Gentile, MD, named Chief Medical Information Officer at University of Vermont Medical Center

The University of Vermont Medical Center recently announced the appointment of Doug Gentile, M.D., to the position of chief medical information officer. In this position, he will oversee the information services (IS) teams who work on projects in the clinical areas of the medical center. He will also serve as the liaison between medical center providers and IS staff who work on the electronic medical record.

Vermont Public Radio has elected Nicole Ravlin of Shelburne to its Board of Directors to serve a three-year term.

As co-founder of People Making Good Public Relations, Ravlin works on new business development for the agency and serves the agency’s clients as a lead communications strategist and crisis communication manager. Markolf joined Union Mutual in 2012 as the Marketing Coordinator.
