Maheras joins Bi-State Primary Care Association

Bi-State Primary Care Association is pleased to announce that Georgia Maheras, Esq, has been selected for the position of director of Vermont Public Policy. Georgia has dedicated her career to improving the health care system and is looking forward to using the skills she has developed through over 20 years of leadership experience – including five years within state government, five years as a consumer advocate, and ten years in management roles in other industries in her new role.

Batsimm joins Lund as Director Of Finance

Michael Batsimm joined Lund in April as Director of Finance, relocating from Andover, Massachusetts. Before coming to Lund, Mike worked at the American Meteorological Society, a nonprofit membership association headquartered in Boston, MA. He has over twenty years of accounting experience in public accounting and as an Accounting Manager and Controller at for-profit and nonprofit companies. With specialties in financial reporting, accounting research, and leading finance teams, Mike brings the experience and financial acumen needed to steer Lund into a strong financial future.

SVHC Foundation names 2017 Vision Award honorees

Every September, Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) presents the Vision Awards at the Harvest Ball, an event sponsored by the SVHC Foundation. The ball will take place on Saturday, September 9 at the 1768 Hubbell Homestead at Colgate Park in Bennington. This year, SVHC will honor a physician and a family for their efforts to advance the health system’s vision of healthier communities. The honoree for SVHC’s 2017 Health Care Leadership Award is Brian Cunningham, MD. The Hoyt Family is the recipient of SVHC’s 2017 Distinguished Community Service Award.
