CCAoA Fraga joins Permanent Fund for Vermont’s Children Board of Directors

Dr Fraga has over 25 years of experience as an educator, program director, and executive leader working on behalf of children and families.
Patrick F Jordan III named COO at Dartmouth-Hitchcock
Patrick F Jordan III has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system. Jordan, who previously served as COO for the at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, MA, was appointed to the position by Dartmouth-Hitchcock CEO and President Dr Joanne M Conroy. He begins his new role at Dartmouth-Hitchcock on Nov. 20. “I’m delighted that Pat Jordan has agreed to join us at Dartmouth-Hitchcock,” said D-H CEO and President Dr Joanne M Conroy.
Addison County author selected as Amazon Book of the Year!
Author Katherine Arden, a resident of East Middlebury and 2011 Middlebury College graduate, was just selected as the Amazon 2017 "Best Science Fiction & Fantasy" Book of the Year for The Bear and the Nightingale! Her mom, Elizabeth Burdine, is also the new Director of Finance at the Addison County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC).
Greensea appoints new account executive
Greensea, creator of OPENSEA, the universal marine industry operating platform, has recently announced the appointment of Karl Lander as Account Executive. Prior to joining Greensea, Karl spent two decades with the United States Coast Guard. Most recently, he was the Executive Officer aboard the USCGC Healy, where he was responsible for the internal operations of an 85-member crew and managed a 137-member cross-functional team during a 64-day scientific expedition to the North Pole.
Howard Center honors Whit Smith with 2017 Help is Here Award
Howard Center recently celebrated Whit Smith (Mickenberg, Dunn, Lachs & Smith, PLC) as the 2017 Help is Here award recipient at its annual Help is Here Award Celebration. The award honors an individual whose contributions personify Howard Center’s mission and demonstrate a passion for those served by the organization. The event was hosted by Howard Center board member, Mike Simoneau.
