Martaniuk earns 2017 HR Professional Award

Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced that Jean Martaniuk has been selected by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as the recipient of the 2017 HR Professional Award. Martaniuk, the MAHHC Human Resources Director, received the Award at the 2017 Annual Vermont Conference of the Society for Human Resource Management held at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel on September 28-29.

Greensea appoints new robotics engineer

Greensea, creator of OPENSEA, the universal marine industry operating platform, has recently announced the appointment of Matthew Parrilla as Robotics Engineer. Prior to joining Greensea, Matthew was a lead developer of a customer facing application at Cox Automotive, Inc. He earned a BS degree in Physics from the University of Maryland, worked as a data visualization artist, co-founded a startup, and spends his time backcountry skiing whenever possible.

Vermont Lake Monsters announce two additions to staff

The Vermont Lake Monsters are pleased to announce two new additions to the team’s front office staff. Heather Regnaud joins the Lake Monsters as the Staff Accountant, and Derrick McCabe joins the team as the Box Office Manager.

Originally from Vergennes, Vermont, Heather Regnaud joins the Lake Monsters with several years of bookkeeping and accounting experience. After graduation from Champlain College, Heather worked at Bolton Valley for a few years before heading south to the Caribbean island of St John where she continued working in the bookkeeping field.

Conger promoted to Director of Site and Land Division

DuBois & King is pleased to announce that David Conger, PE, has been promoted to lead the firm’s Site and Land Division, which provides civil engineering, permitting, and survey services. The promotion expands his role to managing the division’s civil/environmental staff and survey operations in South Burlington, Vermont, and Keene, New Hampshire. Mr Conger’s 25 years of experience includes civil/site and transportation engineering and management of projects that range from small infrastructure improvements to multi-billion-dollar transit projects.

Energy Co-op of Vermont's efficiency program manager earns HHE certification

Paul Fleckenstein, Energy Co-op of Vermont's Efficiency Program Manager, has been awarded Healthy Homes Evaluator (HHE) certification from the Building Performance Institute. A Healthy Home Evaluator assesses home-based environmental health and safety hazards and provides a prioritized list of recommendations to address those hazards. Since 2014, Paul has done 300 in-home energy audits and has supervised 120 energy upgrades that resulted from energy audit recommendations.

Chase joins Gifford’s Orthopedic Team

Dr Derek Chase has accepted a permanent position in Gifford’s Orthopedic Department. He has been a locum orthopedic provider at Gifford since January 2017, and previously worked at Northwestern Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in St Albans, VT. He recently returned from Lake Tahoe where he completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and traveled abroad as a physician for the US Ski Team.
