We are really excited to welcome Heidi Caldwell to the new position of Running Coordinator for the Outdoor Center. In this role, Heidi will organize and manage our Running Camps, and will also begin to develop running programming for the greater Craftsbury community. Heidi shares our enthusiasm about this expanded vision for running at the center, and brings lots of ideas, experience and energy to this opportunity!

MENTOR (The National Mentoring Partnership) recently honored Vermont resident Eddie Gale by presenting him with an Excellence in Mentoring Award. Gale, a resident of Johnson, was one of four 2018 award recipients, and was recognized during a special reception at the Library of Congress during the 2018 National Mentoring Summit in January. “The Excellence in Mentoring Award recipients represent the innovation and commitment necessary to close the mentoring gap – and what is possible when we place relationships at the center of everything we do,” said MENTOR CEO David Shapiro.

Rick Scott, President of System Integrators of South Burlington, VT, and Key Largo, FL has recently attained accreditation as a Certified Outreach Instructor (COI) from CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association. This certification allows System Integrators to provide continuing education and the required credits to members of AIA (American Institute of Architects), ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) and other related organizations.

Attorney Sophie B Duffy has joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, where she will practice in the Labor and Employment Law Group and work from the firm’s Brattleboro office. She comes to DRM after working for the Washington, DC law firm of Hogan Lovells US LLP, where she was based in the New York office and honed her skills in labor and employment law and commercial litigation.
